.......17 chapters! -- 80,000 words! -- Based on a true story of the origin and worldwide spread of HIV, the virus believed to cause AIDS...

.......Many years ago on the isle of Tortuga in Haiti just east of Cuba, Dr. Vincent Hume worked tirelessly on a cure for cancer. A foremost explorer in the field of micro/nanobiology, Hume was trying to "train" a harmless African virus to attack only cancerous growths. He was manipulating the gene structure (RNA) of the virus when he suddenly found himself in the middle of the worst possible situation. His experimental subjects, both simian and human, were coming down with all sorts of unusual sicknesses... and some of these were fatal!

THE INTERNET STORY

.......Seventeen chapters -- and it's FREEE! -- this work is all about the Internet and MORE -- it *IS* the Internet

.......Perhaps the most burgeoning medium of all time, the Internet is covered from all angles in THE INTERNET STORY. The social wave of the future? (if people have a future on this speck o' dust called Earth) This wave can be found still "in utero" on the Net. In this virtually anonymous setting, people all over the world are trying hard to figure out how to act toward each other. It is the unique mixing of the strange and the familiar that yields a truly mysterious concoction of net kooks, stalkers, their victims and the vast majority who watch from the sidelines. Read The Internet Story and become a vital part of... the "NET"!

In later years, Desrosier became the world's foremost advocate in the war on starvation. Departing from us at the youthful age of 62, Dr. Desrosier's unparalleled concepts continue to be a chief catalyst toward starvation's ultimate defeat . . .

 The Eternal Inkwell

		      More Romance

She hustles o'er the road of hapless life,
And sometimes wonders why she chose this road,
So oft it seems so filled with storm and strife,
So great the weight to bear, this loathsome load.

Awakened to disturbance of her dream
Of lightened burden off her shoulder bare,
And flowers blazing o'er the ripened plain,
With cotton-soft clouds drifting high on air,

To find that she must do it all again.
Oh how to bring the cherry blossoms home,
And sniff a rose to help her ease the pain,
And call on Mother Earth to tap the loam.

So if we had it all to do again,
So if it were our fate a second chance,
We both would do it almost just the same,
Except those times she cried for more romance.

Here's another --

 The Eternal Inkwell

			Angered

Lift your ghost from all that pain,
Come in out of all that rain,
Thoughts to love when you are blue,
		Babies hate red too.

		Long ago the color red
Wormed its way into your bed,
		No mistaking crimson hue,
		Babies hate red too.

Babes hate red, babes hate red,
		Babies hate red too.

		Scarlet loves a helping hand,
		Scarlet lives across the land,
		Finding romance two may rue,
		Babies hate red too.

How to thaw this frozen fate?
Must we wait for pearly gate?
Count to ten or nine will do,
		Babies hate red too.

Babes hate red, babes hate red,
		Babies hate red too.

and another --

 The Eternal Inkwell

			     Woman

Kick like a mule, butt like a goat,
Heart like a jewel around her throat,
Mind like a trap, soul like a rock,
Much like a map, a scroll, and a dock.
		     Mystery mystery shrouded in history!

Dark eyes like stars, sweet lips like silk,
Shadowlike scars deep down in her milk,
Small ears like radar, touches like down,
Feelings like jade are alone in her gown.
		     History history shrouded in mystery!

Hail from a rib, hail from the dust,
Hail from the crib to be targets for lust,
Hail from a river, hail from the sea,
Frail form of giver and taker is she.
		     Mystery mystery shrouded in history,
Mister she sisters me, bow friend in mystery!

my first contribution to the
newsgroup rec.arts.poems:
 The Eternal Inkwell

			        All We Know

Oh cry we must into our eyes
			And let the flit'ring fireflies
			Abuzz from synapse to synapse
To bring us joy when sadness stops,

			Or bring us pain when joy do sag;
If male we whine, female we nag.
Await the day when time will cease,
The day when all we know is peace.

for the dreamers among you --

 The Eternal Inkwell

		     Of Dreams

Last night I dreamed that I dreamed a dream
	   Of love so long ago,
By light that beamed how it seemed to scream
Of fields so wrong to sow.

And in my dreams I awake and deem
	   My nightmare done at last,
Some tea supreme now with cake and cream
	   Pry painful vision past.

Oh dream in dream makes me wonder now
	   Just how our heart redeems,
To dream extreme will the night allow
A dream of a dream of dreams?
